A very special two-day, non-residential retreat will take place in September.  The retreat will be led by one of our lineage’s leaders, Hogen Bays, Roshi, co-abbot of Great Vow Monastery. 

At the end of the retreat, there will be a jukai (16 precepts) ceremony and a wagessa (five grave precepts) ceremony, which retreat participants are free to attend if they choose.

We thank the Bridge & Enrich Lives Society for offering us the use of their wonderful premises.

Saturday Sept. 21 9 am – 5 pm & Sunday Sept. 22, 9 am – 5 pm

Bridge and Enrich Meditation Hall, 718 East 20th Ave. (Fraser & 20th Ave.), Vancouver

Fee:

$60, reduced for limited income. All proceeds go the the Bridge & Enrich Lives Society

Zazenkai Retreats
We hold half-day meditation (zazenkai) every month, and periodically hold weekend zazenkai. Details of zazenkai retreats will be posted here. Please check frequently.

Full Week Sesshin
We hold 6-day meditation retreats that anyone is welcome to attend as their life schedules permit.

Sesshins

We have three non-residential sessions planned for 2024. These ‘worker’ sessions do not require people stay at the zendo. Instead, people can come during the sitting periods that fit their availability.

April 12 – 19 (Friday 7 pm – Friday 9 pm)

May 10 – 17 (Friday 7 pm – Friday 9 pm)

June 14 – 21 (Friday 7 pm – Friday 9 pm)

Zazenkais

For April, May and June, zazenkais will take place on the Sunday during the non-residential sesshin, from 8 am to noon, April 14, May 12, and June 16.
